Blister packaging machine is a special machine used for unit-dose packaging such as tablets and capsules. The device has a blister pack component, which can be a cavity or pocket made of a formable film, usually a thermoformed plastic or a cold-formed aluminum film.
In other words, this is an electromechanical machine that has moving and stationary parts at the same time, helping to pack and seal the product in the preformed cavity.
The mechanical movement facilitates the formation of cavities of a certain size on the packaging materials, filling and sealing with suitable materials.
According to different packaging materials and forming principles, blister packaging can be divided into aluminum/plastic (thermoformed) blister, aluminum/aluminum (cold formed) blister and aluminum/plastic/aluminum blister.
According to their operation process, automatic blister packaging machines are divided into three different categories.
- Roller type blister packaging machine
- Rolling plate blister packaging machine
- Flat blister packaging machine
Roller blister machine:
The working law of the roller blister packaging machine is very simple. The formed film is heated and softened by the heating device. The blister is then sucked by the negative vacuum pressure on the roll forming roller, so the filling device fills the packaged material into the blister, and then passes through the roller.
The heat-sealing device seals the cover film coated with adhesive on one side on the surface of the blister material under appropriate temperature and pressure, and seals the packaged object in the blister.
Rolling plate blister sealing machine
The roller flat blister packaging machine is developed on the basis of the roller and flat blister packaging machine. That is, the flat-plate molding device is used for blow molding (positive pressure molding), and the roll-type sealing device is used for sealing. The working principle of the blister packaging machine is basically the same.
Flat blister sealing machine
The working law of the flat plate forming blister machine: the formed film is heated and softened by the flat plate heating device. The softened film is blown into a blister by using compressed gas in a flat molding device, so the filling device fills the package into the blister.
Then it is sent to the flat sealing device, the formed film and the cover film are sealed under suitable temperature and pressure, and then the batch number is printed, so that the fold line is pressed out by the printing and embossing device. Finally, the punching device is punched into product segments of a predetermined size.
